Bocconi Sport Team promotes the practice of sports among Bocconi students and graduates as a way of learning and training for team work and fair competition in academic and professional life.

The Pelican is the official mascot of Bocconi Sport Team. It was chosen by the Association of Bocconi Graduates in 1906, four years after the founding of the University.

Athletics, 5- and 11-player men’s and women’s soccer, golf, swimming and water polo, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s volleyball, skiing and snowboarding, scuba diving, tennis, sailing, and skeet shooting are the sports practiced at Bocconi, both at the recreational and competitive level, in national and international university tournaments.

Bocconi Sport Team hosts four sport sections: basketball, soccer, volleyball, individual sports, water sports. Bocconi teams compete in the official tournaments of the respective Olympic sports federations.

Starting from this academic year, Bocconi Sport Team also offers the possibility of joining the Association’s junior section for women’s soccer to girls attending Milanese junior and high schools.
